He’s the outlier who stormed insider worlds – and won. The unusual actor who starred in close to a hundred films – and formed his own cult. The unlikely politician who refuses to be just a famous face filling a seat but goes out, all guns blazing, to take on both friends and foes.
And in Anything but Khamosh, the fiery Sinha offered a candid glimpse into his offbeat world, and why he’s a political double-bill of sorts: both a BJP stalwart and dissenter. He regaled the audience with dialogues from his films and what he calls displaying “sportsmanship” in politics, which is the capacity to praise one’s enemies and critique one’s friends. He spoke of the “greys in his life”; why he considers himself an “inspiring” actor (because if he can, anyone can!); and why India cannot afford hate. Memorably, asked why he baits Prime Minister Modi so much, he said because Modi is an action hero, and when he doesn’t act in time, others must!

Algebra, the Arts & Ideas Club brings together a fellowship of people who believe great cities are built not just on infrastructure but a life of the mind; who understand robust and liberal societies need the oxygen of great conversation and nuanced thinking.
At a time when we are increasingly surrounded by rage and noise, Algebra is a live and continuous space for people to come together for a genuine exchange of ideas and exposure to issues; where new seeds could be sparked, fresh perspectives formed, and intelligent connections made.
Algebra – the Arts and Ideas Club is designed to host almost 35 engagements over the year with topline thinkers and practitioners from almost every discipline that impacts human affairs: politics, economy, environment, spirituality, cinema, medicine, science, technology, music, media, literature, the arts, sports, people’s movements, et al.
